Father of the YEAR? How should we manage ourselves as parents?

After viewing the video below, we can all laugh with some form of understanding if we have been a parent. We have either witnessed something similar at a game, or chatted with parents at a party who felt like doing the below, or we have actually been the person doing this. In whatever form you have been this is a more common occurrence than we would like to believe and it is growing daily with parents being banned from games, fields courts for only trying to do "what is right" to get their child to fill their potential. I personally have witnessed parents slapping a child through the face for not concentrating, at age 7, or a father racing onto a match and going Kung-Fu on the official for something he didn't like. In Australia some institutions have placed a 30 meter restricted area around playing fields where parents are not allowed to enter "this zone". How should we deal with this? Are our kids getting lazier and less switched on this 21st century of technology and spoon fed society, or are we as parents just setting the bar higher and earlier? Would love to hear your thoughts on this.
